The new Harry Potter HBO show is nearly completely cast, and all I can say is "Oh boy, here we go again! I can't wait to watch the exact same magical adventures of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, but with slightly more details from the books! I was really missing all of the extra Quidditch practices and magical discrimination that they nixed from the eight movies, and I'm glad Warner Bros. finally decided to do something about it."

In my honest opinion, there is no reason to remake the Harry Potter books into a TV show so soon. The last movie only came out 14 years ago, and fans want stories about the Mauraders and Hogwarts Founders far more than they want an inferior replication of the original stories. It's a miracle that the Harry Potter movies turned out as well as they did the first time, and there's no way this new project is going to be superior without British acting royalty like Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith. It doesn't matter what I think, though, because Warner Bros is in a financial hole only Harry Potter can solve. If this series flops, you can say goodbye to HBO Max and one of the original Hollywood studios.
